History:
Angels Nursing Services was launched in April 1997 in Somerset West by Sister B L van Rooyen as a Private Nursing Practice. Sister van Rooyen, being a fully registered nursing sister, has a lifetime of experience in nursing having trained and qualified at Groote Schuur Hospital. She has worked in various hospitals in Cape Town including nursing homes for the elderly before launching her own private practice in 1997. Angels has always and continues to operate in the greater area of Somerset West in the Western Cape.
Operation:
Angels does not operate as a nursing agency.
The Pivate Nurse Practitioner offers a service unlike that of a nursing agency. The PNP does personal visits to your home and administers medical care personally. This assures individual attention by a qualified and registered nursing sister.
Should a patient require 24 hour medical care then Angels is happy to refer qualified and experienced carers to the patient, but the carer/s remain strictly in the employ of the patient or patient's family. Angels is also happy to assist with the administration of the carers on behalf of the patient. Please contact us for more detail in this regard.
Long term nursing:
Private nursing plays an important role in the world of patient care and medical rehabilitation. It does not offer an alternative to the family doctor, but rather seeks to play a vital supportive role. Private nursing offers benefits that the busy medical practitioner finds hard to fulfil. These benefits find their potential between doctor visits and manifest themselves in the patient's overall well-being, both physical and mental. |
